Loyalty Cards, Business Cards and the Combination
Loyalty cards are offered by retailers as a way for frequent customers to participate in reward programs. Usually a loyalty card entitles the custom to a free item or discounted service after so many visits. The loyalty card is marked in some way (stamp or punch) during each visit. The loyalty card is like a business card in that it holds essential contact information. It is the true palm sized advertising piece available for much less than a publicist.
Recycled paper is a nice look for the loyalty card. It shows your frequent customer that you believe in protecting the environment and are committed to greener practices as a manufacturer or retailer. And of course, it helps the environment which is most definitely a plus. Be sure to make your choice of recycle card apparent either in your card texture and color choice or by printing the recycled logo somewhere on the card. It may seem tacky but it’s a heck of a way to promote yourself these days.
There are two ways to go when it comes to business loyalty cards: one sided or two sided. The one sided card usually has enough space for the loyalty program (main introduction or headline and a place for stamps or paper punches) or two sided. The two sided card costs a few more pennies but does allow you to space out information and expand branding and marketing messages. Print the reverse side in black to save money.
Companies that offer loyalty cards offer business cards so you can get the same design, color scheme and font choices on both. Buy both at the same time to save money on shipping. Be sure to order loyalty cards a few thousand at a time. You’ll save money by buying in bulk as well as shipping. Loyalty cards are an excellent compliment to or substitute for the traditional business card.
