Keys to Success: Locksmith’s Business Card
The modern locksmith is on hand to fix your home’s security system after a break in, provide locks to a new business, help you when you lock yourself out of your home or car and provide advice on security systems. The locksmith’s business card should be friendly, modern and explicit in the services provided.
Be sure to include all the pertinent contact information on the locksmith’s business card. This should include your name, title, contact telephone numbers, e-mail address, website and mailing address. If you work for a larger company be sure to include the main office phone number as well as office opening times.
Of course, the locksmith’s business card should contain some lock and key related clip art or illustration. This is one of those business cards that should be explicit rather than resort to abstract designs or fancy images. Choose a sophisticated image of a door key, lock, house, business or whatever is your main locksmith focus. If you deal with industrial security rather than domestic don’t use an image of a house’s front door in your business card. Think focused and explicit.
If you work for a larger locksmith company consider the portrait photograph for your business card. This is a good way to introduce yourself to new clients as well as provide photographic identification. A lot of people enlist locksmith services after a break in or domestic abuse situation and so easily recognizable faces and a multitude of matching identifications can be soothing and reassuring to the client. Be sure to choose an image that is sharp and friendly.
Consider magnetic business cards for the locksmith. These are perfect for handing out to clients after the initial call out and will ensure that if your customer has trouble in the future or wishes to consult someone on locks or security you will be the first person they call. Alternately, consider keychain business cards that you can attach to the new set of keys before handing them over to the client.
