Even More Business Card Tips Part One
We have provided a wide range of business card tips for people in the business world and with this post we are providing you with even more tips for the business card you hand to employers and coworkers.
Tip number one is to never not publish a mobile phone number on the business card. Stop printing cards with land line numbers on them. Get real people…we carry and use our cell phones everywhere we go. They are our link to the office…not landlines. If you print a land line on the card make sure you also print your mobile phone number on there as well.
Tip number two is to never print your email address in all capital letters. Why? It just doesn’t look right. For example: JANEDOE@JANEDOE.COM. That just doesn’t look right at all. This also looks bad: JaneDoe@JaneDoe.com. Even though everything else on the business card should be grammatically correct, the email address shouldn’t be. It is ok, actually it is encouraged, that email addresses be printed like this: janedoe@janedoe.com. It just flows much better.
Tip number three is to remove the fax number from the business card. I know that some people still use fax machines as a part of their business but the number should be removed from the business card. It just doesn’t fit the mold of current technology. Fax machines nowadays are used rarely and sometimes only by restaurants to send their menus to local businesses.
More of these do’s and don’t’s will arrive on Sunday in Part Two of this series of business card tips.
