Business Cards for Writers
Are you a writer? It doesn’t matter if you write novels, non-fiction, academic works, newspaper columns, sports, business, finance, blogs or website content; every writer should have a business card that provides readers and possible publishers with all of your contact information.
Writers pretty much already have their own business cards, their written words, but it doesn’t help to have some printed to easily hand out when around town. A writer should have their name or their pen name printed on the card along with their phone number, their email address, their website and their publisher information as well.
Writers should utilize the back of their business cards just as much as the front side of the cards. The back of the card could have the writer’s favorite quote printed on it or a snippet from one of their upcoming books or a famous piece they wrote earlier in their career.
Writers shouldn’t have any trouble finding the right words top rint on the back of their business cards either. They do this for a living and it should come easy to them. Maybe the back of the business cards could feature a list of books the writer has written or columns they wrote in a newspaper. Or, the back of the cards could feature the background of the writer; where he or she obtained their degree and where they first worked in the industry.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to designing a business card, especially when you are designing one for writers, who are some of the most creative and open minded people in the world.
