Business Cards for Students

I am a student. Should I have a business card? The answer to this question is incredibly simple…yes. Why shouldn’t you have a business card? They are inexpensive to have printed so why not spend a couple of bucks on business cards that could get you noticed with a potential employer or an admission’s board of a college or university.

Students that are considering transferring from one college to another should have a business card printed with their name, email address, phone number and course of study listed on the business card so that the admission board of the new school will remember you for quite some time.

Also, if you are in your junior or senior year of college you should have a business card designed and printed in preparation for the business world. Even though you don’t have a job title to place on the business card you can still add your name, email address, phone number and course of study on the front of the card. The back of the card can serve as a mini resume for your potential employers. The mini resume can include your academic awards, your club affiliations, and names of your references.

None of this can hurt you even if you are still in school. Anyone that wants a business card can have one designed and printed. It doesn’t matter if you have a job or not. Business cards are an incredibly effective business tool used by business people and students alike across the world today. They can always help and add flavor to your interview.
