Business Card Networking Tips Part One

With all of the tips and advice we have provided on this site we really haven’t provided readers with business card networking tips. Well today is your lucky day because this blog post will discuss five of the top ten tips for networking with a business card. Business cards are an important asset for self employed people, business owners, and any other type of worker in the business world today. Business cards help people meet others, make contacts, acquire clients and sometimes even obtain a new job.

  1. Send a business card along with bill payments. There is nothing wrong with doing this at all. More often than not your card will be tossed aside but every now and then someone opening the envelope to look for the check might hold onto your card or pass it on to someone that needs a new employee. You never know.
  2. Never leave home without your business cards. It doesn’t matter if you are going to school, to work, or to a baseball game. Make sure you always carry your business card.
  3. Be generous when handing out your business cards. Give them to everyone you come in contact with; family, friends, coworkers, employers and anyone else you come in contact with.
  4. Use business card etiquette when handing out your business card. When someone hands you their business card make sure you hand yours in return. Also, when you hand your business card to someone and they hand you theirs, make sure you accept it.
  5. Use a slogan at all times. It doesn’t matter if you are printing cards for the first time or for the tenth time; always put a catchy slogan about your business or yourself on the cards.

Part two of our top ten business card networking tips will be published on Wednesday.
