If you have your own business cards you should consider shelling out a couple of bucks to purchase a business card holder. Business card holders honestly don’t cost much at all, I purchased one for less than $7, and they keep your business cards in pristine condition. A Business card holder is just as small as the business cards themselves so it fits right into your pocket or briefcase without taking up too much room.
Business card holders are usually plastic or metal so that they do not break easily and they hold roughly 20 cards at a time. Always remember to refill your business card holder every couple of days, especially if you know you will be attending a very important business meeting with associates you have never met before.
Some business card holders can be designed to look exactly like the business cards inside of them, which is also a great marketing tool in and of itself. Other business card holders are just plain metal on the outside and do not have the ability to have anything printed on them at all.
So, if you do carry around business cards you really should consider purchasing a business card holder. They are inexpensive, they are small, and they keep your business cards in pristine condition so nothing gets spilled on them and so they are ripped apart by the keys in your suit pocket. Business card holders won’t set you back hundreds of dollars and, since they are for your business, they are a business expense when tax time rolls around.
